How To: Minimalist Morning Skincare

Skincare routines can be extremely confusing, because we see a million and one products that are marketed towards every skin concern and labeled as "a must have!". So I can understand why people feel like they don't know where to start - but that's where we, estheticians, come in!


A minimal morning skincare routine that covers all the bases for healthy skin:

Step 1 - Cleanse! I like an oil cleanser (more on that here)

Step 2 - Hydrating toner. Provides hydration and allows next products to work better

Step 3 - Antioxidant/Vitamin C serum. Provides an extra layer of protection from environmental pollutants and free radicals and brightens complexion

Step 4 - Light moisturizer

Step 5 - SPF! I like a physical SPF (more on that here)


And there you have it! A simple morning skincare routine that covers the basic needs for healthy and beautiful skin. You can, of course, build on your routine from here, but this gives you a baseline for where to start with your AM routine.
