Should you use a retinol?

Short answer - yes!! Retinol is part of the holy trinity (antioxidants, retinol, SPF) to keep your skin glowing. It works by speeding up your cell turnover (this process slows down as we age) and helps to fight fine lines, wrinkles, acne, dark spots, texture issues, and more. Really a magical product.

There are different types of retinoids and different strengths, so always consults with your esthetician or a dermatologist before incorporating into your routine, because it can cause sensitivity/breakouts/flakiness if used incorrectly.

I started using retinol in my early twenties, which is a bit aggressive (on par with everything I do in life lol) but I would recommend for general anti-aging purposes to start incorporating a retinol into your routine around your late 20s - and one super important thing to remember is that it makes you much more sensitive to the sun. So if you can't commit, and TRULY commit to wearing an SPF every single day, then don't use retinol either because you'll end up damaging your skin more in the long run. Hate to be that guy, but you need to know lol
